This will be the third annual EdCamp in the Bay Area and we welcome participants from all areas to join us as we share knowledge. We also welcome visitors, as well as leaders who have participated in previous EdCamps.
If you are on Twitter, please use the hashtag #edcampSFBay to share the message! Also, follow @EdCampSFBay on Twitter for both updates and #EduAwesomeness.
We are working on getting a discount hotel options for those who would like to spend the night nearby.
If you are an educator interested in contributing in any way (planning, attending or hosting a topic), please reach out to @EdCampSFBay via Twitter or email info@edcampsfbay.org.
Unlike traditional conferences, sessions are not planned or scheduled until the morning of the event. We use a scheduling board on where attendees place index cards with session ideas.
The sessions range from basic conversations around teaching methods to sharing digital projects by students (or even sessions based around just having fun). Many edcamps include sessions about using technology in the classroom, but the focus is on education, not just technology. We recommend that you bring an iPad (or laptop) to EdCampSFBay since many presentations will be interactive, and there will be a heavy backchannel conversation on Twitter.
